Milos · Greece

Sarakiniko Beach.

Milos’ most striking coastline: pale volcanic rock, small swimming coves and water that looks almost unreal against the white landscape.

Why go.

It feels unlike any normal beach. The rounded white formations, cliffside caves and bright water make it one of the most memorable places on Milos.

What to expect.

This is more of a rocky landscape with swimming spots than a classic sandy beach. The ground is uneven and the area is very exposed to the sun.

My tip.

Go early, bring plenty of water and wear shoes with grip for exploring the rock. Avoid jumping when the sea is rough.
