Mezapos

A tiny fishing harbour beneath pale cliffs, with vividly clear turquoise water.

The place

Why it is worth the stop

Mezapos is one of those Mani stops that feels completely shaped by the sea. Fishing boats sit in a sheltered cove beneath layered rock, and the turquoise water is the first thing you notice.

It works beautifully as a road-trip stop through the southern Peloponnese. Come for a swim, spend time around the harbour and combine it with other Mani villages rather than expecting a busy resort.

My visit

A personal note

My photographs were taken from the harbour, looking across the boats towards the pale cliffs and stone houses above.
