The stay
What it is actually like
I stayed at Lykke on an autumn Chamonix break and the spa was easily the reason I would go back. After being out in the mountains, walking into the warm pool room—with dark stone, timber and huge windows—felt properly relaxing rather than like a hotel extra you use once.
The hotel is central enough to walk into Chamonix, then come back and have a long soak without needing to plan the evening around it. There is an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, plus Cinq Mondes treatments if you want to turn it into a full spa afternoon.

A personal note
We went one autumn afternoon, with steam rising from the water, golden trees around the pool and the mountains appearing through the clouds.
