RESTAURANT REVIEW · NAXOS
To Elliniko.
A relaxed Greek lunch in Naxos Chora, set around a beautiful old olive tree with the kind of simple, traditional food I always want in Greece.
The setting.
The courtyard is what makes To Elliniko immediately memorable. Tables sit beneath a huge olive tree, surrounded by whitewashed buildings and blue details — it feels unmistakably Cycladic without trying too hard.
What I ate.
We kept lunch classic with a huge Greek salad topped with feta and a hot grilled cheese dish alongside bread. Straightforward Greek flavours, generous portions and exactly the sort of meal that works after a morning exploring Naxos.
Would I go back?
Yes. I would come back for the atmosphere as much as the food. It is a lovely choice when you want a proper sit-down Greek meal in Chora but still want somewhere relaxed and full of character.
