Eden Hall,
day into twilight.
A spa day with two distinct moods: bright garden time around the outdoor pool, then warm lights and a fire-lit pause as evening arrives.

My visit
One spa, two atmospheres.
I experienced Eden Hall in the daytime and again at twilight. The old red-brick building gives the spa a sense of character, while the garden pool and loungers make the daytime visit feel open and outdoorsy.
As the light faded, the same setting changed completely. The pool glowed against the dark brickwork, the lights came on around the garden and the fire pit became a natural place to settle for a while. I liked seeing both sides of the spa; twilight felt like a proper change of scene rather than simply staying later.
The contrast is the thing I’d remember most: clear blue water and warm sunshine in the afternoon, then steam, reflections and a cosy glow after dark.
The experience
01 · Daytime
Garden, water, sunshine
In daylight the outdoor pool is the centrepiece. The water feature, planting and terracotta brickwork show up clearly, with loungers along the edge for a break between dips.
02 · Twilight
Lights, water, fire
After dark, coloured lighting reflects across the pool and brings out the outline of the old building. The fire pit gives you another place to unwind when you want to get out of the water.
03 · Food
A colourful pause
My photos include hummus and flatbread with colourful toppings, as well as watermelon, feta, seeds and herbs.

My take
Would I go again?
Eden Hall is especially appealing if you want the spa setting itself to be part of the day. The garden and outdoor pool are lovely in daylight, while twilight adds the atmosphere that makes the visit feel like a treat. Experiencing both gave me a fuller picture than choosing just one time of day.
